These are not the pictures of your average Grandmaster! http://www.kosteniuk.com
She can take my rook any day.
Wow, I think I'm in love. Beauty and brains - the very concept would knock my friends on their respective asses!
Now why can't I meet a girl like this at home?!
Whoah. Checkmate baby.
I see I'm not the only one who was curious after reading the article on Anna Kournikova
Between her and Jeannette Lee (billiards) I think I could be a happy man!
Talk about polishing the bishop!
WTF? I remember our chess club in High School and there wasn't anyone even remotely female anywhere near their tournaments!!
The only female we had in our chess club was named...Ben!?
Reminds me of: "Knight takes queen. Rook takes Queen...KING TAKES QUEEN" - Mel Brooks - History of the World Part 1
I'm a little embarrased to say this, but I'm quite intimidated by women who are good at chess (not normal good, but talented good).
Mind you, I have no problems with smart or intelligent females of any kind and I hope that one day, my future wife will be extremely sharp, witty, etc.
But females who are talented at chess are a different story. They use their intelligence to plan and scheme and attack, and to devise fiendish traps for their opponents. They're not just smart, they're smart at being devious.
That just has way too many implications for a relationship of any kind.
Who said anything about a relationship?
Now that I looked at the top picture again...
Am I the only one who really likes how she's holding the rooks?
I like, and prefer women who are intelligent. Much more of a challenge. If you beat her at chess all the time, then it will get boring, but if it is a challenge, THEN things get interesting...and that goes for everything, not just chess.
