MCA once released this on VHS and subsequent Cheech and Chong films were produced by Universal, so there may be some sort of unusual rights situation with this title.
A Paramount catalog title actually coming from Paramount? That would be news!
I remember laughing my butt off when watching this in the theater back in the day. Recently rewatched it, and turned it off 1/2 thru. Funny how what we thought was hysterical as a teenager, turns into something pretty stupid as a middle age man

Cheech and Chong might be the ultimate "you had to be there" comedians. They were very funny in their time period but their routine has aged really poorly.
I saw the 2nd and 3rd C&C movies as a kid and liked them, but they don't look so hot now - though I still love Paul Reubens' "Hamburger Howie" from "Nice Dreams".
I never saw "Smoke" until I got the DVD, and it was a largely unfunny mess.
Maybe I'll like it more when I see the Blu-ray!
That's it! That's it!
And pre-Pee Wee Herman
I know Ron will like this:Whoo-Hoo! Unbelievable!
Thought this was a Paramount owned title that would never get released.
Guess Universal is quietly distributing Paramount titles.
Day one! Day one!
