Predator was recently released with a new 16x9 transfer in R1 last year. Don't expect to see this again for a while.

I know. I just wish that Region 1 folks get the good stuff too.

sigh..
If importing isn't neccessary, then why do I keep doing it? Because R1 gets better product than the rest of the world usually.
Whether it be exclusive releases? (Almost Famous, A Bug's Life:CE, The Criterion Collection)
DTS tracks? (Antz, Twister, Superbit titles, Saving Private Ryan, U-571)
More features? (Shrek, Terminator, Total Recall)
Censorship? (The BBFC are the bane of horror titles)
And almost all are available quicker in the US than elsewhere.
There are exceptions, but not too many. So count your blessings.

I can understand that, but the fact of the matter is that FOX "is" re-releasing it on DVD (again) in R1. A pan&scam, bare-boned edition goes on sale on May 12. Instead of releasing a p&s "Predator", they should have opted for the SE that R2 & R4 will get. Yeah, I'm greedy.
