Normally I'm not one to post links refering to other sites, but I just read the latest interview with DVD Producer Charles de Lauzirika over at DVDFile and it's a wonderful read. DVDFile has done it again.
Charlie has a lot to say and it's interesting to read his opinions on how the DVD format is changing and how we, as end-consumers, react to it.
I think he is right on the money when it comes to extra features, it's not really about fitting a disc with hundreds of extra features, but to find the right balance, to enhance the movie; and I can't think of a better example than the wonderful Hannibal DVD.
I seriously can't wait for Blade Runner...

A good article, but they listed Charlie's occupation as "filmmaker and dvd producer". I thought these were just the things he does in his spare time when he is not squashing Scott-Free title rumors on the HTF. Maybe it just seems that way somedays. [IMG]

Blade Runner is definitely in good hands when it comes to extras. I have no fears in that department. Charles de Lauzirika has yet to let us fans down. I think this is because he is one of the biggest fans of DVD working in the movie industry that I am aware of. I am just hoping that we may get the original version of BR in some form or another on DVD to preserve it intact, continuity flaws and all to go along side the definitive version. The fabled Workprint would be nice too, but might be asking too much.
BTW, That was a great and inciteful interview.

He also mentioned the "L" word. Hopefully "almost finished" becomes "finished" soon. [IMG]
