finally got around to making a crappy webiste for all of you to drool over. The pics are extra dark cuz the room is pitch black with 1 ceiling light, the best setup is always in pitch black. The tv has the black borders on it so the silver doesnt reflect any extra light, i know its ghetto but it works. The best is playing gamecube and x-box in 480P! It Fricken Awesome. Tell me what you think........
There are more pics on the photo page
BTW there are 4 black leather chairs all with ottomans. Remember, i play games in the dark, so the way the TV itself looks doesn't mean anything to anyone, its the way the TV displays an image thats important. I also have mattes to cover up the top and bottom of the front of the tv.
    Hardware
X-box hooked up with hi-def av pack
Jet Black Gamecube with hi-def component cables
    PS2 with monster s-video cable
    Dreamcast with s-video
JVC XV723GD Progressive Scan DVD Player/monster component cables
    Yamaha HTR-5280 Receiver
JBL ND310 fronts (each have dual 10" woofers)
    JBL N-Center Center Channel
    JBL N38 rears
Samsung TX 2790 Progressive Scan Capable 27" Flatscreen
    JBL PB12 Subwoofer stacked underneath.....
Infinity 12" subwoofer both with monster subwoofer cables
MONSTER HTS 1000 stage 2 clean power circuitry
    Assorted extra monster cabling
    Tech Craft 32" tv stand
Tech Craft Component rack with smoke glass front
2 dvd racks holding a total of 240+ dvds (no vhs in my setup )
    dvd rack with ps2/xbox/gamecube games
cd rack with assorted dreamcast and ps1 games
    4 black leather recliners
    4 black leather ottomans
neutral gray walls for controlled lighting

So, how many of you have a dedicated room for gaming? I'm just curious because I prefer having my consoles connected to my main HT.

I will soon(as in when my house contract closes). Inside it will be my "old" home theater, 27" Sony Wega, Pioneer 710S, Klipsch Synergy line speakers, monster cables, Pioneer DV-525, and game systems galore [IMG]
    Scott L:
Is that standard carpet(ie not a rug)??? The house we are trying to get needs carpet in the bedrooms and that would look so cool in my gaming room.

Those are just a few resources of where I play games.
I have my PS2 with Component Cables, my Dreamcast with S-Video, and my GameCube with S-Video (hoping to get component soon). Next year, I'll get an X-Box.
I don't play down there all the time, but its a good place to try out every once in a while.
Plus, we have the screen in the backyard (its about 10'x20') that I play games on in the summer sometimes.

Kelley: Yea that's a rug carpet, the entire basement is like that. It's my folks' house and I was kinda hesitant at first when they decided on that pattern, but it looks great when you go down the stairs and see it. It just feels like a gaming room.

edit- meant to say it was a carpet, installed professionally, not a rug.

Some day, when I'm rich, I plan to buy a house and devote it totally to gaming. Maybe I will add an addition to the side for a regular bedroom and a kitchen, but otherwise, ALL games.

Now, its the getting rich part thats hard.
