Hey guys, check it out... its not totally finished, i still gotta add some stuff (more details in the site), but tell me whatcha think so far! [IMG]
This was my first real computer mod (other than rewiring the Line-In to a stereo jack on the front panel of the comptuer), so the edges aren't straight at all :p)
Edit: It'd help if i had the link [IMG] http://www3.telus.net/sonick/lcd/index.html

So it goes from translucent to transparent? Cool.
It'd be nice if you could get Winamp visualisations or something on it though... Maybe even CPU temps and the like. [IMG]

    Nick,
    Way cool bro! [IMG]
Now tell me why in gods name has this technology NOT made
it's way into the windows of all production cars.. Heck the
option price could be a grand or two and I would have ordered
    it!
Just imagine, Rollin with the windows nearly pitch black..
Here comes the Police... As you are being pulled over just
turn the knob and make them clear.. "Son I am pulling you
over for illegal window tint" "What tint sir?????" [IMG]

Very cool looking great job [IMG]
Have you thought about using round IDE cables? They are great to help with airflow & it gives a clean look since you can now see inside your case [IMG]

Kyle: Yeah i have.. in fact i used the makeshift solution of just twisting the IDE Cables... though i didnt do it exactly the right way as I didnt seperate the individual wires yet. ONe day however, ill find the time to sit down and start cutting them up... Then wrap them with some colored tape or something :p)
Its hard to find rounded IDE cables locally here, and they're usually real expensive [IMG]

Yeah, most likely those bright white LEDs... But i was thinking, coz when the window is clear it has an orange tinge to it. Since blue is like the opposite color of orange, i PREDICT that it'd cancel out and show as white. Im not TOTALLY sure about this, could somebody give input? [IMG]

Here's my case mod. It's my first mod. The original guts were a 486. I slapped in an AT Socket 370 board built around it, added a 300 WATT ATX power supply and slapped in a P3. The AT board also takes ATX power connections. Well, enough talking. Here ya are!

    NickSo,

Nice job, do you have a CompUSA around? They now sale Vantec rounded cables, they are like $10 a piece here in Oklahoma, go out and get you some! Well worth the ~$35 I spent!

Ya mean they don't have CompCANADA? [IMG]
I have the Vantec cables... they are quality (the clear silver "airplane" style... they're cool) and look GREAT with a light. You can pick them up at any decent computer expo [IMG]
