You built those? Please explain how and what you did them with. Looks like solid wood.. What about those drivers?

I'll post the pics on my page. I'll post the link here if you like or in another thread.

Here's the link to the web page.
    Geno's Speakers
Geno - if the page is ok let me know. If you'd prefer just a link to the pictures I can do that as well.
Now clue us in on the specs of those.

What program did you use to create those models. The reflextion detail is very nice.

To really fool people I think you are gonna have to change the background and add some driver mounting screws. Also add some sort of textureing to the ports, driver surrounds, flanges and dustcaps.

hehe, very nice Geno....I was anticipating some real DIY action, but the models are good nonetheless. What program did you use for them?
Only thing is, seems like a few of the reflections are off....like the second to last picture, where the reflection should be for teh sub driver, it just looks like the center's cabinet is opaque.
But it's still damn good. [IMG]

This was the clue: "these Rival Mr. Sun's DIY's! I swear!!!!" That's no big claim. Everyone here knows that Patrick doesn't do speaker cosmetics. He's a bare MDF fanatic.

What is it with the solid modeling of speakers craze of late - is there a new S.M. program that's affordable - or shareware?
Nice work though, Geno. Now go build 'em.

Joe, look closely, the reflection is there.
Yeah, I thought I could fool a few of you. I wanted to see how many ppl I could fool.
I did these in 3d Studio Max.

Rob, thanks for posting those. I should be getting an
internet connect soon so ill have my own website.

The wood grain I got from scanning wood samples we made at my work. I work in a custom wood shop. I tried using birds eye maple, but the red oak looks the most believable.
any comments are welcome. My goal is to build a realistic looking HT completely out of 3d.

    "Now go build them"
Ha HA Hank, why do you thing I got into DESIGN in the first place, my craftmanship is awful!!!!

I was hoping my "how'd you do that?" stuff would egg people on.

So what program did you use?

Let me know when you get your own web space so I can delete the files. No rush just let me know.

    Rob
