Don't know if they're called line drivers in home audio (so I don't know what to do a search on), but what's the cheapest way to up the voltage from my television to my reciever? I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear anything. And just in case, is there anyway this has nothing to do with the voltage and that I'd be wasting my money?

Frank: You don't want any in-line amplifiers. They will add noise.

On TVs I've owned, I have been able to turn off the internal TV speakers and then run the TV's volume control higher. This sends a louder sugnal to the receiver so that you end up not needing to turn up the receiver's volume so high...
