Are they any good? I just got a dish HDtv system and have the DVI connections on my tv and receiver. Is the DVI connect much better than component?

I think it depends on the type of display you are using. CRT based RPTV's supposedly do not benefit from DVI but plasma and DLP do.

I have a similar situation. I just got HD digital cable receiver. It has a DVI output and my TV has DVI input. My tv is a HD ready Sony widescreen direct view cathode ray set. My cable company gave me component cables and it looks great but just wondering since I have the capability for DVI if I should do that instead.
