Has anyone had any luck with eCost? The reason I ask is they're selling a refurb Denon 1600 for a very low price and are associated with Boarderfree which would make shipping to me reasonable.

Andrew - Be aware that eCost isn't an authroized Denon dealer, so a 1600 purchased from them would carry no manufacturers warranty.

Well importing one into Canada would likely void the warrenty as well so I'm screwed either way[IMG]

I just got off the phone with eCost and it seems they have to order them from Denon since they dont' stock any which will take 3 weeks from the time you place an order. Still I might do it since I'm not in a hurry to get it. As an aside for those Canadians interested in this player it works out to a total of $480 cdn with the 3-5 day shipping though boarderfree (duty, and tax's incl)

not worth the risk and absence of warranty on a refurb item imo...

Use your AMEX card to pricematch to them.

I've had no problems with Ecost. They're customer service is a little lacking but they've gotten much better in recent months. The problem with the refurb Denons is that they only carry a 90 day warranty from the manufacturer. I don't know if the extended warranty from Ecost is any good, but might be worth a try.
