Hello all. I just recently purchased a Rotel 972 AV amp/receiver and I have noticed that the OSD meter displayed on the screen is 'jumping' or 'bouncing' up and down. Its very disconcerting. The rotel is hooked up to a Sony Wega XBR450 via a relatively cheap Monster composite cable. Can the cable be causing this or is something wrong with the Rotel? I will check the Rotel later with higher quality component out cables, but I am very intruiged at the possibility that the cheaper monster cables could have such an impact on the imaage.

I'm not familar with that equipment, but I'll hazard a guess:
If the ENTIRE image through the receiver is flickering, it could be the cables (although thats a strange thing).
But if the video image is fine, but the On Screen Display flickers, then something is wrong with the receiver.
