Looking for cheap but good multi-format card readers, USB 2.0.
I think I'm might order this internal/external model soon. It's the only one I've seen that can be mounted in a bay, and just ejects for portable usage. -Dave
That's pretty snazzy, the only drawback for me is my PC case, which only has one 3.5" slot (using the floppy drive there). But it's something to consider. Thanks.
The Atech Pro-9 is a 9-in-1 card reader (supports the latest formats including memory stick pro and xD). Should be about $50 US, works as external or internal (3.5" drive bay). USB2.0 only, but has a passthru for firewire which fools people into thinking it supports firewire. www.atechflash.com
If anyone cares, I did wind up ordering from Ebay one of those combo internal/external that Dave F suggested. It was just $19.99 plus $9.95 shipping. I order 2 of them (one for an officemate) to cut the shipping down to around $7.5 for each, so I thought $27.50 delivered was a good deal for this particular device and its functionality (vs. paying $38 delivered at the website link provided). Search on "3.5 Reader 6 1"
