Haven't seen any reviews up for the Superbit version of Charlie's Angels?

Am interested in seeing the comparison's between the two?

Thanks.

None of the reviews I have read mention anything about the subtitles. I want to know if they retained the original burnt-in subtitles. Unlike the original release where they got rid of those and used the player generated ones instead.

This of course is just speculation, but they didn't with xXx Superbit DVD. Granted, this is Deluxe Edition, but I doubt it.

Remind me where to look in the movie and I'll check...

I'm not at home now, but I remember the scene where the Angels, Bosley, Sam Rockwell & Kelly Lynch (sorry I forget their character names) are sitting outside by a pool(?) and the girls are speaking a foreign language saying that they're client may not be out of danger yet. The ugly-ass yellow player generated subtitles pop up. It should be after Cameron plants a bug in the redstar computer in her white bodysuit.

Well Circuit City has a free ticket for CA2 if you buy this one for $16.99 (since tix are usually around $10 where I live this means the net cost will be $7), I'm considering the upgrade. The biggest negative seems to be the lack of video improvement (from none, to very slight depending on reviews). The audio improvement is slight to moderate depending on who you believe (and I'm not a big DTS fanatic but I have heard some mixes that do sound better). The lack of any new extras, and indeed the loss of the commentary, is another negative. Hmmm, what to do...

wait...so there are NO new extras? then why didn't Sony just put the original release directly as the second disc? That way, we'll also get the commentary as well as all the extras. All they needed to do was add the promo trailer for CA2.
