    Hello everyone. [IMG]
I was wondering what the quality of the CHARLIE CHAPLIN DVDs out there is like. What discs can you recommend, which ones are rather crappy?
    Thank you so much,
    Sebastian.

Get the box set of The Gold Rush, City Lights, Modern Times, and The Great Dictator.

Excellent transfers (all OAR and windowboxed) and great mono soundtracks (City Lights has an excellent PCM 2.0 surround track of the re-recorded digital score.)

I would highly recommend all the Image titles (The Kid/Dog's Life, The Circus, A First National Collection, Monsieur Verdoux, Limelight, King in New York/A Woman of Paris in addition to the ones already mentioned). And better hurry - all these are already out of print, but some online retailers still have them in stock. Some of these DVDs have longer cuts of the movies that will never be available on DVD again. All the DVDs have excellent quality (considering the age of the source material) and some valuable extras too.
