Ok, here's the deal. I love Charade and have yet to see The Truth About Charlie. I suppose I am in the same boat as a lot of people here on the HTF. I am wondering if anyone has any artwork that would reverse what is currently in stores to have the movie Charade be the main movie on the dvd and TTAC be the bonus movie. Just would be a little more convenient for me.

Why are no reviews out for this film yet? I rented it last night I was happy with the film. Haven't watched Charade yet though.
THanks

I was planning to just use the cover from my Criterion version, but now that I see that those DVDs are fetching between 20 and 40 dollars on Ebay, I'm thinking I might sell instead. The commentary isn't worth $20 to me. So I might make a copy of the Criterion cover first.

By the way, I was really Really REALLY bored the other day and watched Truth About Charlie. I've heard reviewers say that you shouldn't compare the remake to the original Charade. But when they stole lines of dialog (and not very well, either), how can you NOT compare the two? Anyway, Truth About Charlie stunk like a skunk, with or without comparing it to Charade.

Geo, I'm with you on this one. How on earth you DON'T compare the two is beyond me. Just another example of a remake that should never have happened. Anyway, I'm really quite surprised that a different cover is not out there yet. I would do it myself but I'm not very good at that sort of thing :b .

I had no memory of the original Charade when I watched Truth About Charlie, but had recently seen the similarly themed Bourne Identity. I thought Charlie suffered in comparison to Bourne Identity primarily due to lack of action, though the Paris locale and cinematography were gorgeous to look at.

I've since flipped it over and watched Charade-- the comedic subtext that existed between Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn is totally gone. I mainly blame this on the casting of Mark Wahlberg in the Grant role. Shoulda been George Clooney.

So we have a film lacking the action of Bourne Identity and the wit of Charade, leaving at best a very watchable travelogue.

Well I did some more searching for a Charade cover with bonus of Truth About Charlie cover but still came up short. Anyone else out there made any other discoveries?
