Has anyone seen or got this DVD? If you have, whats the disc like? Who's the transfer? Is it anamorphic? How's the sound quality? And what's your opinion on the film? I here that Robert Downey Jr is excellent as the lead role.

Thank you for your help guys and girls.

Lewis.

I love the movie, Robert Downey Jr gave one of the greatest performances ever.

I have not seen the DVD.

The region 1 DVD is non-anamorphic with an adequate image, but nothing special. The sound is also adequate; it's one of my favorite John Barry scores. Like Ted, I love the film. Some find it rambling, but that's what happens when you try to cram in an entire life history. It's the single best performance Downey ever gave, and the supporting cast is quite good too; I particularly liked Kevin Kline's portrayal of Doug Fairbanks and Geraldine Chaplin's performance as her own grandmother.

The film is superb, the non-anamorphic transfer and sound quality is okay. For $10 it's certainly worth picking up, but Chaplin really cries out for an SE.
