What's the deal with Cerwin Vega subs. Tried two down diring subs, they were both faulty. Sounded like a machine gun going off during Gladiator. Took the second back to the dealer fired up the floor model, and his did the exact same thing - couldn't handle the deep bass. Too bad my fronts are both great Cerwin Vegas.

hmmmm I have a lw 15 and have had no such problems. I bought it 3 years ago and have put it through a lot of abuse too. Now that I live in an apartment, it serves my purposes pretty well. It stays relatively flat down to 30 hz as long as I keep the volume at a reasonable level (which I have to do anyway since I'm in an apartment).

I'll be getting a house this summer which is why I've been saving up for a svs. My only dilema now is what to do with the cv.

Sorry, I should qualify myself - I was referring to the HT 10 and HT 12 models. I just checked out audio review, and I guess i'm not the only one who had a problem.
