I am thinking of making the switch to a FP home theater, but my wife won't agree to the cost of a sound permeable screen. Since I can't place my center speaker at ear height behind the screen, does anyone know whether placing it on the floor and angling the front of it up so it points toward the audience's ears will detrimentally impact the sound?

If I was in your position i would do what you just said.
Just put at it's highest point and you probable wont have to angle it much.It just depends on how close your screen is to your floor. Because if you think about it if you have a big screen (like i have) you still have to point it down with a door stop to have it angled directly angled at you. so try it and see how it works.[IMG]
