This is my first post, so, be easy. I have a Mits WD-52725 and bought an Infinity Beta C-360 center for the system. The center weighs 34.5# and the Omnimount CCH-1 shelf rating is 30#. Am I safe in putting the center speaker on this shelf, or am I courting danger of it collapsing into the guts of the TV? It seems that it could support the speaker, but I just wanted to get another opinion from the "Pros" of this forum. Thanks for any response.

Hmmmm, expensive TV and speaker, and a weak shelf.

I have no doubt the shelf will hold, but you probably need to find a long term solution.

Can you find a way to getto rig the shelf for the time being to make it stronger? Like tape/glue/screws, etc.? Something to make it hold better?

Well I put the shelf up. I must say I think these manufacturers probably make these things with just this in mind, and rate them with lower weights than they can hold. With the way the posts set on the back of the TV, the weight is really well distributed. The reason that I was concerned was that you can push down on the back of the TV and really distort it's shape. I thought that with all that weight it might cave in. To my suprise, it is holding perfectly, with no distortion to the back at all. There are 2 places that stick to the TV, one is a rubber sticky that holds the posts to the back of the TV. The other is velcro that sticks to the top of the screen frame. I used the rubber thing, but didn't do the velcro, thinking if ever I have to exchange the TV for something I only have 1 place to take up. Thanks for the reply, I needed another opinion.
All I can say now is, Thanks again. Lyle
