I just got some new things.
    Onkyo tx-sr601
    2pr. JBL N26II
    Old things.
    2 Sony SA-WM40 subs.
I'm planning on getting the N38IIs for the mains in this system. My problem is with the center. I Had the NSP-1 set, and wasn't too impressed with the N-center. So, that being said, what center should I get?

    N-CenterII
    EC-25
    EC-35
    S-center

I really don't want to mix the N and S. I'm leaning more towards one of the top three. I just figured I would try to get some more help narrowing things down. Thanks,
    Tim

I try to listen to them with the speakers you have or will have up front and get the one the sounds most like them so the sound is "seamless" with the front three speakers. Forget the model numbers, get what sounds best together.

I've never heard the N-Center, but I'm thrilled w/my new S-center, as well as the JBL S38IIs.

You can still find S38IIs around, but S-Centers seem to be vanishing. Both are discontinued - onecall.com appears to have no more S-Centers, although jandr.com might.

Since the N and S centers are all discontinued, I can't really listen to two of them. I still don't think it would be too good to mix the two series across the front. I guess I could try the S-center, I was just wanting to hear from someone who had tried to mix the two. I kinda liked the EC-35. It is a 3-way center with the same tweeters as my other speakers. Well, thanks again,
    Tim

I just bought the N38ii's today. So, now I really need some center suggestions.

    Center : ? S-CenterII or N-CenterII
    Fronts : N38II (2)
    Surrounds : N26II (3)
    Sub : SA-WM40 (2)

    Thanks again

Well, I bought the S-CenterII tonight. So, I guess I'll have to listen to it and see if I like it. I can always sell it if I don't like it right! We'll see.[IMG]
