Setup:
Front L&R: Phase Technology PC 9.1
Center: Phase Technology PC 3.1
Receiver: Sony V333ES
Subwoofer: None
The 9.1's are rated down to 32 Hz (room boudaries extend this to the lower 20's). The 3.1 is rated to 38 Hz (considered a full range).
Heres the question: If I set all three front speakers to "large" in my receiver setup menu and have no subwoofer (.1), what happens to the bass in the LFE channel when listening to a Dolby Digital source. Is it sent to the front L & R, or is it a mono sound that goes to the center(if I set the center to large)? Basically, what happens to the ".1" when you don't have a subwoofer?
My center is on backorder, so I have not been able to experiment yet. But this qestion always intrigued me.
