I am thinking about getting a front projection setup in my Home theater. If I keep with the eye level at 1/3 of screen rule the center channel will be quite low *(cc-370), is this less than optimal to put it mildly, should I maybe push up the screen a bit to raise the center channel, acoustic screens aren't an option.

While having all front tweeters at the same level is a great goal, it's not a "must have" requirement.

Plan to put the center speaker just below the screen on a stand, perhaps with some upward tilt so the sound hits the heads of the listeners. Use a laser-pen on the cabinent to see where the speaker is pointing.

There are even a few people who have built small stands to mount the center in front of their RPTV and claim the sound is superior to the "speaker on top" placement. (This would be a real hazard to the shins in my house.)
