Ceiling Tiles or Drywall (1 Viewer)

what is the general concensus in drywalling or using accoustical ceiling tiles.

My main concern is having while ceiling tiles while the rest of the room is a dark colour.

I heard that if you paint the ceiling tiles - they wil lose their sound absorbing qualities.

any insight ????

I've not done it myself (yet), but there are many people who have special ordered black ceiling tiles. Apparently the only drawback is waiting for them.

Your best acoustics will be obtained from a sheetrocked ceiling with resilient channels and wall dampening b/w the 2 layers of sheetrock. Ceiling Tiles are a poor value for the money IMHO.
