Hey Guys, I am new to the forum, but need some help really FAST! I am finishing out my basement and the contractor is ahead of schedule. He wants to start hanging drywall on Monday, that means I have to run my speaker wires tomorrow! I can do it, no problem and have already thought about HDMI cables, coax, etc. My problem is that I don't know whther to run in ceiling speakers or wall mount speakers. The area being finished is NOT my theater room, that will come later in another section of the basement. What I am doing right now is basically a large open area that will have a bar, pool table, and yes, a big flat screen. I want ot do a basic 5.1 setup for the veiwing area, but am more concerned with the speakers for the stereo system, which I would like to have enough sound quality to give the club feel to the basement. Can I do this with strategically placed ceiling speakers and some bass units at floor level, or should I stick with on the wall mounted speakers and still have the bass units on the floor in strategic spots. I can box in the ceiling units if needed, though I would not know what material is best to use. HELP! I literally have 24 hours to get this done.
