The Panasonic AE700 looks nice (from the review.) I've seen their 'active aperature' on earlier 3-chip DLP units, so that's not new in itself.

I have to admit that it'd take a trans-Atlantic flight on a pig for me to seriously consider Sony anymore.

And I'm glad that they still remind people about that truly brilliant (albiet dim )JVC DLA-HD2K. That puppy is just absolutely fantastic for HT purposes... all I need is a spare $30k...
