The posterart chosen here makes a fine cover. Will preorder when I get home.

... For a while there I was wondering if the cease fire will still be in place by the time this restoration gets released. It represents a legacy that's still very relevant to the present day.

Cease Fire is Amazon's No 1 best seller right now in Blu-ray>Military & War. # 206 in Movies & TV overall.

Not a bad start for a 54 year old film with a cast of unknowns. I realise Amazon sales rankings don't give the full picture, but I'd like to see a successful release.

At the time I placed my preorder I noticed it was out-ranking all the other titles Kino is releasing on that date by a substantial margin.

Bob showed me the next-to-final master last night on his Epson 5040 projector and it was excellent. The story is told in semi-documentary fashion covering the final days of the war and is pretty engaging, though you will notice the acting is not always the best. This is expected since none of the soldiers are played by real actors. The 3-D photography - 99% filmed on location in Korea 1.5 miles from the line - is outstanding. And the sound - wow - 3.0 stereo with some directional dialog and a really wide dynamic range. I'll have more to say once I get a chance to review the final master, but if you're a fan of vintage 3-D films this is a safe pre-order.

Well, if Pete says it looks excellent, that's all I need to hear! :)

(Who am I kidding... Bob and Greg are doing it, I was already sold. But I'm happy to hear it's looking and sounding as good or better than I had imagined.)

Just got my Kino blu of Cease Fire. Another great job by the good folks at 3D Film Archive!

The 3D depth and separation are outstanding -- literally! The opening credits seemed to protrude halfway into my living room.

If you're 3D-equipped, or a fan of classic war movies, this is a must-have!

Can't wait for The Maze...... and more classic 3D!
