Time for a new dedicated CD changer - my 15 year old Fisher finally bit the dust. In researching different models, I've seen a frequency response of anywhere from 2Hz-20kHz to 20Hz-20kHz. Which is best, or will I be able to tell the difference? Thanks for your help.

2hz-20khz would be better but you wouldn't notice the difference. I'd be more concerned with brand name, build quality, sound, value and features than frequency response in a cd player. With speakers, I'd pay a little more attention to it.

If you can get one with digital output, and let your receiver DACs do the job. Most AVR DACs are of pretty amazing quality. Better than most mid line CD players these days.

Gene is right you won't notice too much plus FYI 20khz is considered supersonic, which the human ear is unable to pick up the frequency.
