I just got a new mac ibook and was gearing up to install my office 98 suite. Sadly, I do not have my original jewel case which supposedly has the cd key. I do have an id # written down along with a user-name and password that i guess i got when i registered the product..I have this installed on my desktop, is there any way i could get the cd key off of that? Please help, I really need to install this!!! Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

    Matt

On a PC I'd be able to help you, but I'm not sure on a Mac. I'll ask some people when I get a chance. Hopefully someone will be able to help you before that.

Ok, I think I figured out how you can get your actuall key using the product ID, providing it's like the Office 97 ID's. You should have an ID that looks something like this 53491-460-1656111-49145, 460-1656111 would be the CD Key.

Hope it works. This is a better solution than the one I emailed you.

I'll try that now. And let me just say that the home theater forum is awesome. I posted this at various mac message boards and haven't heard a thing. You guys rule. Thanks.
