CD/DVD Cleaning Devices (1 Viewer)

What is it that you use for CD/DVD cleaning and minor scratch repair ? I have been eyeing this unit = Alera 240121 DVD/CD Disc Repair-Plus Kit. Would like to hear if someone has one they swear by (or at !)...

I guess no one's CD/DVDs need cleaning....

Well for just general cleaning I use a little soap and water and then just rinse the disk off with some distilled water. For scratch repair I've used tootpaste in a pinch and a 3M product when not in a pinch. My main reason for going with the 3M, which is a manual approach, is that I don't have a problem in this regard and I just figured if anyone knows about the technology of abrasives, 3M, with their extensive R&D, is likely to get it right. I don't see why the Alera wouldn't work and if I had a general problem with scratched CDs or DVDs that caused problems when playing, I'd certainly consider something like it.
