If anyone owns one of these units can you tell me what you think about it? Besides the sound and since its a changer, next important thing would be the reliability of the unit and also I dont want a flimsy feeling tray. Any opinions or comparisons would be appreciated.

I own the Denon DCM-380 (HDCD decoder I believe is the main difference from the 280) and have been very pleased both with its musical performance and its build quality. For a changer, the tray is pretty darn solid. I purchased this one a few months ago to replace a Denon ?440? changer that was still working perfectly after 10 years (I wanted the HDCD stuff)
