Just tried to burn some HD backups last night, and kept getting an error saying that the Power Calibration Area was full, and that the drive couldn't write to the disc. I tried four or five blank CDs, all with the same result. I've been using this burner for a long time now, and the discs are off the same spindle that I've been using with no problems up until this point. Just wondering if this could be an issue with XP?

I've tried this under Adaptec 5.0, as well as the latest version of Nero, and I'm using an HP 7200i CD writer (worked fine for four years now).

    Any ideas?

If you just upgraded or installed XP then you may want to check if the manufacturer of your CDRW unit has a Firmware upgrade and an upgrade for the burning software. My Plextor 40x12x40 needed both to work properly in XP.
