Is Clementine part of the Studio Classics series (i.e. extras and such)?

    Regards,

I don't have the specs for it but I think it is part of the line. It's priced accordingly also.

    From DVDPlanet :

    Special Features:
Theatrical Version; Commentary Wyatt Earp III, Theatrical Trailer; Alternate Pre-released Version; Behind-the-Scenes stills.

No mention of Studio Classics, but wouldn't be too surprizing.

Undoubtedly part of the Fox Studio Classics range; My Darling Clementine and a strong possibility of a Wyatt Earp SE in 2004 - already shaping up to be a good year.

So many films, so little time...

    Two pick-ups for me:

I was a Male War Bride
    My Darling Clementine

Here's hoping some of Grant's other films (such as Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House, Suspicion, Bringing Up Baby and Holiday) make it out soon.

Ah, Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (H.C. Potter/1948/Warner) . . . one of my all-time favorite Grant movies.

Although Howard Hawks is among my favorite directors, IMHO I Was a Male War Bride is terribly overrated. Still, it's nice to see any Hawks or Grant movies get released.

    Good news, thanks!

PEOPLE WILL TALK is a lovely, unusual little gem, well worth seeing. I'll be getting that and CLEMENTINE for sure...maybe also I WAS A MALE WAR BRIDE.

Second the wish for more Grant...particularly GUNGA DIN.

I love KISS THEM FOR ME. The DVD planet listing says this is full frame and stereo. This should be 2:35 to 1 and 4.0. What gives?

DVDEmpire has a listing up w/o specs -- when a back cover scan shows up, we'll know for certain, but I'd anticipate a widescreen 16x9 release, Joe. E-tailers often have incomplete/erroneous advanced info for discs when official spec sheets/back cover scans are not yet available. Site admins/programmers want to let customers know it's up for pre-order as quickly as possible, and often toss up "assumed" info (classic from decades ago? Must be 4:3 ... eh, noooooo) for reasons that are anyone's guess (such actually hurts sales to informed customers, of course).

Fox has been very good to classic film fans of late (persistent and heavy EE on at least some of the entries in their Studio Classics line notwithstanding, grumble grumble), so I wouldn't worry just yet. The likelihood of a correct audio mix is, I think, a somewhat dicier question than one of correct AR, but three and a half months is a while in DVD land. I remain very hopeful on both fronts.
