I am currently driving a pair of Buttkicker tactile transducers with a pair of Carvin DCM1500's bridged monaural. 1500w each.
Even though the amps are housed in a closet I can still hear slight fan noise at my listening position.
I am thinking of replacing them with a pair of convection cooled Crown K-1's.
This amplifier is also rated at 1500w into 4 ohms.
Besides eliminating all noise will I see a performance improvement wih the Crowns?
I use an Audio Control PCA III and a Behringer EX1200 subharmonic synthesizers on my TT's. The amplifiers are driven hard.

Switching to Crown from Carvin would be a step up...however, your using them just for TT's. You would hear a difference if you use them for L/C/R...you probably won't see/hear too much of a difference. It the crown's are more powerful...you will FEEL a difference. If you can step up, by all means, step up.

Well I ordered a pair of K-1's fom SVS. My main concern was eliminating fan noise. Maybe I will see additional performance also.
