Am considering a Pioneer DVR-420 or 520... or a 320 if I think I can get by without a hard drive.
Ultimately, it will be (sparingly) used to record TV via regular analog cable (thus replacing the VCR)... and also to record and edit my buddy's home movies.
But the first and most important task will be to burn and archive my Laserdisc collection of classic animated cartoons, some 1300 short subjects.
Will these Pio's automatically mark the individual chapter numbers as they are on the LD's?... or will I be forced to burn the LD to HD, then later got through it and assign chapter marks manually?
Understandably, I'd prefer to have this function be automatic with so many titles... would also prefer to stick with Pioneer, as I've had nothing but good experiences with their digital playback products.
But I'll listen to any and all input.
Thanx in advance!
