Carpet Spikes, Yes or No? (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking of installing these on my tower speakers...

The thought of drilling holes through my speaker cabinets is scary. Anyone had any experience with them? Will it improve sound? I have medium thick carpet that my speakers are sitting directly on right now.

Wallace, did you ever put those spikes on your speakers?
I was thinking about getting those same spikes for my sub (which also sits on medium thick carpet) but had the same reservations as you.
Does anyone know of any spikes that use an adhesive to stick to the bottom of the box so you don't have to drill into it?

I have those spikes on my new sub on carpet. Very easy to install - drill a hole, pull the t-nut into place w/ the supplied bolt and screw in the spike. They suggest using silicone to seal it up which I did. All 4 took me about 15 minutes max.
I didn't listen to it w/o it so I can't help w/ the comparison. But every one recommends them.
You can probably get stick on rubber feet to try out if you're skeptical.
