Capturing VHS thru Mini DV to PC (1 Viewer)

My DV camcorder only has ANALOG (out) and FireWire (IN/OUT). I'd like to use my camcorder as a caputering device, so the question is : Can I hook up my VCR to the Analog (out) of my Camcorder then hook up my Camcoder's firewire (IN/out) to the PC ?..My camcorder doesn't support analog (in) so, I'm thinking the firewire (in/out) will convert the input and pass it on to my PC ?...

The camcorder has to have an analog IN to do what you're wanting to do. Sounds like your camera specifies that it's an output only, so it will not accept a signal from your VCR.

Cameras that work as AD converters will list this as a feature.
