    Just saw this on DVDAngle:
"05/28 will see the release of Captain Scarlet: The Complete Series. All 32 episodes will be included with this 4-disc set and will cost $59.95. Each episode will be presented in its original full frame ratio with 2-channel mono audio. The extras will include The History of Captain Scarlet (there's no word if this is a featurette or a text supplement) and a photo gallery."
It's astonishing what can make a middle-aged man feel overwhelmingly giddy... [IMG]

Unfortunately, it sounds like it's going to pale in comparison with the R2 box, which has a Gerry Anderson commentary on two episodes, mono and 5.1 sound on all episodes, publicity materials, the Capt. Scarlet audio records, postcards with biographies of the major characters, a Spectrum button, a bonus disc with a documentary going behind the scenes (which may be the same as the one mentioned for the R1 release), and a few other things I don't recall.

Hmmmm, the plot thickens. It's up on the A&E site, and now indicates the remastered 5.1 sound. The MSRP on the site is $20 higher as well, $79.95. It is available for preorder at a number of retailers, including Laser's Edge.
