Short story is I am a channel surfer. All new TV's are slow to change channels. I've read on line that they are trying to make changing channels faster but it is not here yet. Every TV I look at in stores has the 1-2 second delay between channels. I have a 3-4ish year old flat screen in our bedroom that changes fairly quick. So I want to maybe look for a used TV but what to look for?? I watch TV. I turn it on, surf and watch. I'm not looking for anything fancy. My old 60" Pioneer rear projection Elite is showing it's age. I would rather replace it instead of trying to get it fixed again. When they make TV's that change fast I can upgrade at that time. I'm looking for something to tide me over until that happens. Any suggestions? Thanks Rodney

This is the strangest topic I've read in a while. TV channels changing in 1-2 seconds is too slow. Good luck finding anything faster. Are you using a cable box or satellite receiver? Or changing directly thru TV?

Welcome to TVs having to figure out whether the incoming signal is 480i, 480P, 720P, 1080i or 1080P. Don't ever get Dish Net, Directv, Time Warner, Comcast or "whoever else" and decide you want to watch native resolution...I fear 3-5 seconds per channel change might cause a coronary...
