Ive been looking at the onkyo ht-s5100 and 6100. I can get a better deal on the 5100. Is the fact the 5100 doesnt decode HD Audio and the 6100 does, the only major difference between the two? If so could I get the 5100 and a blu ray player that decodes HD Audio and still get HD Audio? Thanks

The 5100 does have analog inputs so you could get HD audio if your BR players internally decodes them and sends them via the analog outputs. But I don't think you could take advantage of the Audyssey room correction thru the analog in's. Since the internal decoding would add at least $100 to the cost of the BR player I'd go with the 6100. But of course, it's your decision.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to go w/ the 5100 because I can get a great deal on one. It would be $250 more for the 6100. I'm probably going to wait on a blu ray player for a while anyway so they'll probably drop in price and I can get one that decodes the audio internally at a cheaper price. Thanks again.
