Cannot attain surround (1 Viewer)

I have a desktop computer, with windows 7, it has a I7 Processor, a sabertooth P-67 motherboard that has 6 audio connects (DIN) and a s/pdif optical port, i am attempting to connect a fiber optic cable between PC and a Kenwood VR-60RS receiver, i get test sounds but nothing thru on speakers or headphone, i am not familiar with the set up, i would be thankful if i can get at least a step by step procedure on how to set up the Realtek HD sound manager, maybe i am pressing the wrong buttons and making it worse, appreciate yous assistance. Ok, i have played music and AVI and its playing, still unable to play MKV or blu-ray movies, hope you folks can figure this settings for Realtek HD audio manager, thanks. Raf62

Have you set the optical connection up with an input?
