I'm thinking of getting some decent speaker cables(over generic 12gauge speaker cables) that have a jacket around them as they kinda look better. While shopping around I came across spools of Canare speaker cables. I'm wondering if they're any good? I know Canare makes decent coax cables, but what about their speaker cables? The don't look to be 12AWG, I suppose they're the 4S11 or 4S8, and they sold for 3+USD per meter. I'm thinking of biwiring them. My speakers are the PSB Stratus Goldi and my prepro and amps are the TAGMcLaren AV32R and the Rotel RMB-1095.

I believe bettercables.com uses the Canare speaker cables. They should be no better or worse than a lot of similar cables sold by Monster and others.

I know that Canare makes great component video cables.
Wait, that's not what you asked either! :)

Chu,
You know that we are both on the same side of the fence on
cables. But we agree measurable difrences will effect the
sound (they should) a pure 99.999% Silver (Not Sterling)
solid core in 20awg will have far better conductance as
well as impedance. I would suspect this should aid in more
accurate high range as they are more suseptable to losses
than low range (or atleast with low frequncies it may not
be as readily noticable)
I can not speak from experiance on this, But I can say that
I can build a pair of solid core 99.999% Pure Silver Bi-Wires
encases in PTFE and terminated with Silver or Rhodium Banana
or Spades for just under $100.00 and that's dirt cheap for
silver!
