I live in the US and was wondering if anyone knows any Canadian a/v dealers who sell dvd players cheap when converting to US dollars?

Todd gear prices up here tend to be much higher then the US even when you factor in the exchange rate. Your best bet is still to use pricescan and find the cheapest US online price. All that said there are some cases where we get a price break on gear, some of the british made gear tends to be priced ok (cambridge audio comes to mind) but by and large the only deals we get are on software and on canadain made products like Bryston, Anthem, and Canadain speakers like Paradigm, Energy, Sound Dynamics, Totem, Axiom etc

The Malata N996 appears to be cheaper here in Canada...CDN$399 plus shipping to the US at http://www.nbtelectronics.com John at NBT provides excellent customer service. So far I have been happy with my N996. [IMG]
As for other brands, I am not sure if they are cheaper here in Canada...maybe the Electrohome EH8181A for CDN$150 at the Canadian Costcos. However, Sam's Club in the US has the Daewoo 5700 for US$99 or cheaper.
Also check out http://www.audioshop.on.ca They typically have good prices on some of the stuff, mostly Canadian speakers.
