The Anthem AVM20 is my first pre/proc that includes any type of DTS decoding.

I noticed that there are audio only discs, both CD and DVD formats, that include DTS encoding. Some say DTS 5.1, some say DTS 96/24, some just say DTS surround.

What's the difference between these DTS formats? Can I play them using my Tosh SD6200 DVD player or Rotel 961 CD player hooked (via digital coax) to my Anthem AVM20?

My appologies if this post is in the wrong place. It's kind of a software and hardware question so I wasn't sure where to post it.

Thanks for any info/help!

The only format that the AVM-20 cannot play at full resolution is DTS 96/24. The AVM-20 can handle DTS 96/24 discs, but it will play them at a lower rate (48/24, I believe). There aren't too many titles with DTS 96/24, so this may not be a big issue.
