Hello all,

I have a DIY speaker. It's an MTM design.

I'd like to identify the brand of the woofer.

It's a 5 1/4" driver. Specs say it's made of Neoflex. But the most interesting thing is the woofer's dustcap. It has a logo engraved on it. The logo looks like a spiral.

Any ideas? I'd think that logo is the key - though I don't have a clue as to what brand may it be.

You could always pop out the driver and see if there's any kind of name on the magnet.

Hi,

Unfortunately, this isn't possible (that would have been my first thought, too!).

The problem is, the grille is actually glued to the front baffle. It'd be difficult to separate them both. Even worse, the actual driver is bonded (epoxy?) to the baffle! So taking it out is impossible.

I'll try to take a pic, although considering all I can do is take one looking through the grille, I don't know how it will come out.
