What effect will be had on the sound if you placed your mains at the same height as your center, and spread them further apart?
Because I'll tell you what my tv is up pretty high, my s-center sets up about 6.5~7 ft up. So I wanted the mains to be the same height. Thing about it is that's the same height my surrounds are. When I did that last night, immediately after calibration I heard a difference. I started hearing my surrounds as loud as I used to hear my mains and vice versa. And my mains are as far apart as my surrounds are, they used to be right next to the tv about 6ft apart, now they're 11ft apart, s-center is smack in the middle. Is this a bad idea?

It used to look like this except with the S instead of the N series.http://lamarcusjames.tripod.com/site...ures/front.jpg
