Can the vsm on the Sony kv-36hs500 be shut off?

    Just wondering if the vsm can be shut off and adjusted on this set. I am trying to decide on this vs. the Toshiba 36hf72 which are both 10% off this weekend at Best buy in Colorado. They dont have the xbr or I would consider that as well.

    Don't need the service menu. Its in the user menu under display. Right under all the settings (picture, brightness, color, tint and sharpness). You have the temp setting and SVM. You can choose high, med, low, or off for SVM.
