Can somebody recommend me a receiver that will do multizone? My buddy just closed on his house and is ready to take the plunge. Before they drywalled, we prewired the dining room/2nd living area for some ceiling mounted speakers. One of our other friends runs this similar setup with a Denon 3802. Before buying the same receiver (3803), does anybody have any recommendations on a different model with similar features?

    Thanks in advance!

Look into the Yamaha RXV 1300 or 2300. Both are almost identical, the only main difference is the 2300 has a few extra DSP settings and an extea 10 watts per channel.

The Denon 2803 does almost everything the 3803 does, including a powered multi-room.

I think the Denon 2803 will work for what I need.

Any HK models that will get the job done?

HK models with 2nd zone are 325, 525 and 7200. If you're comparing to the 3803, the 525 and 7200 would be good. The 7200 can be had for $999 right now. I think list is something like $1700. It's huge (60lbs) and powerful.

The new Yamaha models with a powered zone two are the 1400 and 2400.
