Hi all,

I'm thinking of switching to Digital Cable (Comacast in IL),
mostly because they have upgraded the cable in my area (FINALLY!!) and I can get that plus cable internet (having both makes cable modem cheaper (SCAM!!).

Anyhow, my question is that I am currently using a Toshiba DST3000 for Diretv and was wondering if this set-top box can also be used for digital cable and receive their HD signals?

Also any opinions on picture quality from Comcast NW IL would be appreciated.

Thanks,

No, cable and satellite don't transmit the same way. You will need to either rent or buy a digital cable box.
