I wanted to get some Western recommendations. I haven't seen many, and only own a couple (Shanghai Noon and Dances With Wolves). Can anyone recommend any westerns that are still great today? Thanks.

Any of the Sergio Leone Spaghetti Westerns are a must. They are as follows:
    • Once Upon A Time in the West
    • Fistful of Dollars
    • For a Few Dollars More
    • The Good The Bad and The Ugly
And of course, Tombstone and Unforgiven are also really good.

Funny you should mention this...... There is a tournament going on right now which includes a list of 64 Westerns that are all very good.

Besides the ones already mentioned, I'd suggest trying "Treasure of the Sierra Madre", "Shane", "Little Big Man", and, if you can find it, "My Name is Nobody."

Well, I'd include Red River and The Searchers, which I feel are John Wayne's best Westerns, some of Eastwood's speghetti Westerns, and one nobody seems to mention, but I consider the best all time Western - Lonesome Dove.
