Can I get by with a denon 3803 or do I really need more?

    I'm going klipsch r7 with a velodyne sub unless someone convinces me otherwise. Will the denon 3803 be enough or do i need the 4802?

    I'm sure the 3803 will be more than enough receiver. Could you provide some more details on the size of room you will be using the receiver in?

    I don't think any decent receiver would have trouble with Klipsch. Including the Denon 3803. To my casual knowledge, nearly all (if not all) of their models have sensitivity numbers over 90db/w/m. Higher sensitivity means more volume with fewer watts.

    Since the Velodyne has it's own amp, that won't play into the equation...

    Klipsch+3803 would be a great combo. You wont have to look any further, for excellent HT performance.

    The 3803 is more than enough to power the RF-7's at reference level without distortion.

    3803 = $699 shipped
    4802R = $1500 shipped

    There is no one involved in this hobby that doesn't think they need more[IMG].

    Well, maybe a few people would tell you they are content with what they have...but they mean "for now", or they're lying. [IMG]
